Many people take up fitness for various reasons. Some people think it's a way to lose weight, while others rely on fitness to stay healthy. Whatever the reason, fitness is an excellent way to keep active and enjoy your free time. There are many exercises to choose from, and a perfect example of this is CrossFit.

CrossFit is a fitness program that incorporates exercise in intense weight training, gymnastics, and interval training. Some of the daily exercises include push-ups, pull-ups, and squats, repeated many times each day. As with any other exercise, CrossFit can also be paired with training equipment to supplement the program. A resistance band is perfect because it comes in various resistance levels, making it easy for you to scale the routine.

If you're planning to use a resistance band in CrossFit, here are some exercises that you can try:

#1 - Push Presses

Push Presses are excellent for the chest, shoulders, and triceps. The exercise involves standing up with a band on your back, with one end of the band under each foot and your hands facing your chest. Grip the band with both hands, press it overhead, and bring it back to the start position. Repeat for 10 to 15 reps.

#2 - Modified Seated Rows

This exercise focuses on your back while also working the biceps and triceps. Stand up with the band under your feet, grip the band with both hands, and pull it to your chest. Make sure your back is straight and your arms are at a 90-degree angle with your torso. Return to starting position, and repeat for 10 to 15 reps.

#3 - Resisted Squats

Squats work the lower body, so they're perfect for CrossFit. Stand up with the band under your feet, and hold both ends of the band in one hand. Place your other hand on your hip, and proceed to squat while keeping your back straight. Stand back up, and repeat for 10 to 15 reps.

You can use a heavier band if you want to level it up. You'll also be able to use a lighter band for more repetitions, but this can get tedious.

#4 - Resisted Dips

Dips work your chest, triceps, and shoulders. Grip the band with both hands, and place your feet close to a stable object. Keeping your back straight, bend your knees slightly, then extend them to perform the dip. Bring your feet back in, and repeat for 10 to 15 reps.

#5 - Resisted Push-Ups

As one of the fundamental exercises, push-ups are excellent for CrossFit. Pair it with a resistance band, and you'll see that these aren't the push-ups you’re familiar with.

Stand up and wrap one end of the band around your waist and the other around your feet. Place your hands on the ground, bend your elbows and lower yourself. Push yourself back up, and repeat for 10 to 15 reps.

#6 - Reverse Lunges

Take a long band, wrap it around your back, and hold both ends in both hands. Stand up straight, and step back to the rear. Bend one knee so that your rear knee is positioned over your ankle, then step forward. Repeat for 10 to 15 reps, then do the exercise with the other leg.

#7 - Overhead Triceps Extensions

Stand up with the band around your shins, and hold both ends with both hands. Keep your arms straight and your back straight. With your arms at a 90-degree angle with your torso, bring your arms overhead. Then, lower your hands behind your head, then back to the starting position. Repeat for 10 to 15 reps.

#8 - Resisted Bench Presses

Bench presses are a great way to build your chest. Stand up with the band around your shins, grip both ends in both hands, and lie down on a bench. Keep your back straight, and bring both ends of the band overhead. Lower the band behind your head, and get it back in the start position. Repeat for 10 to 15 reps.

Conclusion

CrossFit is an intense way of working out, and it's best to have training equipment to get the most out of your routine. A resistance band is a perfect choice since it's affordable, durable, and easy to use, not to mention it's available in a variety of resistance levels. As long as you use a resistance band in your exercise, you'll see better results when you work hard for it.
