Resistance Bands

Not all resistance bands are built the same. POWERBANDS® latex bands are made from multiple bonded layers of natural latex — so the tension stays smooth and consistent, and they're built to take years of hard training instead of snapping like cheap single-layer bands. Across the range you'll find layered-latex power bands for full-body strength, non-slip fabric bands for glutes and lower body, plus micro, stretch and pull-up bands. Every order ships across Australia, backed by a 60-day money-back guarantee.

Resistance bands are the most versatile tool in any training kit — one set trains your whole body, travels anywhere, and is kind to your joints while still building real strength. We've supplied POWERBANDS® to Australian gyms, physiotherapists and everyday trainers for years, and every band we make is gathered here so you can find the right one with confidence.

Fabric bands

Woven, non-slip bands that sit flat and won't roll or pinch — our most popular choice for glutes, hips and lower-body activation. Shop fabric bands.

Latex power bands

Layered natural-latex loops built for compound strength — squats, presses, rows, assisted pull-ups and mobility. Available in 1 metre and shorter lengths for graded resistance. Shop power bands.

Booty bands

Purpose-built for glute and leg training, in both fabric and latex. If stronger, shapelier glutes are the goal, start here. Shop booty bands.

Micro bands

Lighter loop bands for warm-ups, rehab-style movement, activation and precise, controlled work. Shop micro bands.

Stretch bands

Longer bands for mobility, flexibility, yoga and Pilates — assisted stretching and range-of-motion work. Shop stretch bands.

Agility band

A 2 metre band for speed, resistance running and partner drills. Shop the agility band.

Assisted pull-up packs

Band packs sized to take weight off the bar so you can build up to your first — or your next — pull-up. Shop pull-up packs.

Combo packs

A matched set across resistances — the simplest, best-value way to cover every session. Shop combo packs.

How to choose the right resistance

Bands are colour-coded by resistance, from light to heavy. As a starting point: choose light for warm-ups, activation, upper-body isolation and rehab-style work; medium for glutes, general strength and most everyday training; and heavy for lower-body compound lifts and assisted pull-ups. If you're between two, size down — you progress by moving up as you get stronger. Building a home setup? A light, a medium and a heavy band cover almost everything, which is why our combo packs are our most popular way to buy.

Resistance bands — frequently asked questions

What are resistance bands used for?

Resistance bands add adjustable tension to almost any exercise — strength, glute and lower-body work, warm-ups, mobility, rehab-style movement and assisted pull-ups. One set can train your entire body at home or on the go.

What's the difference between fabric and latex resistance bands?

Fabric bands are woven and non-slip, so they sit flat and won't roll up during glute and lower-body work. Our latex power bands are made from multiple bonded layers of natural latex, so they stretch further with smooth, consistent tension and the durability for compound strength lifts and assisted pull-ups. Many people own both.

What resistance level should I start with?

For most people a medium band suits glutes and general strength, a light band suits warm-ups and upper-body work, and a heavy band suits lower-body compound lifts. If you're unsure, start lighter and progress to a heavier band as you get stronger — a light/medium/heavy set covers nearly everything.

Which resistance band is best for beginners?

A medium fabric band or a light-to-medium combo set is the best starting point for most beginners — enough resistance for glutes and general strength, with room to progress. The band finder above will match you in two quick questions.

Are resistance bands as good as weights?

For general and functional strength they're comparable, and easier on the joints — research on elastic resistance shows gains similar to free weights when you train hard and progress the resistance. For top-end maximal strength, a barbell still has the edge.

Can you build muscle with resistance bands?

Yes. When you train close to fatigue and steadily increase the resistance, bands build strength and muscle. Progress by moving to a heavier band, shortening the band, slowing the tempo, or adding reps.

Are resistance bands good for glutes and pull-ups?

Excellent for both. Fabric booty bands are a top choice for glute activation and shaping, and assisted pull-up packs take weight off the bar so you can build toward unassisted reps.

Do you ship resistance bands Australia-wide?

Yes — we ship across Australia with fast local dispatch, and every order is covered by our 60-day money-back guarantee.
